Posts: 298 May 30 12 10:52 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	As we all know and I'm finding out more and more, multiple color references need to be used and one can never trust what comes out of most digital cameras or off a computer screen by themselves. I've been given a swatch by a fellow site member to match with the PANTONE app and I tried this in many situations (daylight, iPhone cam, Fuji Cam, etc.) Photos and matching in the app simply did not work. I ended up taking my PANTONE color book out and matching that in daylight and then using the App to cross-reference with the cotton color. I'm going to order a swatch and see how I did. Even taking a photo of the material against the coated color card didn't work. Looking with my own eyes it's dead on, but when the camera takes the pic it adjusts the graphic and it looks green next to the grey (pulls up the green tones in the spectrum). Maybe next camera I get will be able to take raw uncorrected images.

I think the only way to get it closer would be to blur the focus to smooth out the color.
