I am about halfway through my first test uniform. I realize that even knowing that the existing commercial pattern and instructions has inaccuracies compared to the screen used uniforms, but I am still coming across some very under-explained parts of the process. In order to do a halfway decent job on my test jumper, I started doing research on all the pictures of thee real ones I could find. I have a dearth of notes so far and have just begun sorting them out into a usable reference guide. I had intended to only use this for my self, but why be selfish?
Here's what I have so far. It's not to scale, and does not cover construction techniques beyond the obvious. It was more of an exercise in what needs to be done better. Please excuse the spelling errors. Also on the right and left hip pockets there are notes about sewing through the chest, but that is a copy/paste error. Is should read, 'sewing through the pant leg.'
